Audi Promises Autonomy

It seems like almost every car manufacturer is pushing towards autonomous vehicles. Audi has promised to introduce a fully self-driving car by 2021. It will not likely be for sale to the public, but for more testing and trial purposes.

This is not the first move by Audi in the autonomous vehicle arena. The redesigned Audi A8 will be capable of Level three self-driving, which means that it will be able to handle certain situations on its own without needing the driver to be hands-on.

The ultimate goal is a Level Five autonomous vehicle which would be capable of taking on any task in the same way a human driver would. The task of achieving autonomy is going to be very difficult, but Audi vehicles already show excellence, there is no reason to believe that they cannot accomplish it.

While we await autonomous vehicles, stop by Prestige Audi in Lakewood, CO. Our team is ready to get you into a vehicle from our new inventory, or from our wide selection of pre-owned vehicles.
